About KT Thompson
Strength. Grace. Legacy.
I’m KT Thompson—mother, miracle, and the steady force behind the brilliance. As Founder and Chief Efficiency Officer of Virtual KT, I help purpose-driven entrepreneurs transform chaos into clarity, systems into structure, and stress into space.
But my story didn’t begin with business. It began with a second chance.
On February 12, 2010, I had a stroke that paralyzed the entire left side of my body. My son Dante was only two. After six months of rehab, I didn’t just get back on my feet—I launched Life is a Party, my first business, created to help people celebrate life one event at a time. That venture was my personal love letter to survival and joy. It thrived until 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic brought it to a close—but its spirit lives on in everything I build today.
Entrepreneurship isn’t new to me—it’s in my DNA. Both of my parents launched their own businesses during retirement from their corporate careers. My father founded Right Order Christian Counseling. My mother started her wellness brand, Healthlarious. Now retired, they’re still legacy in motion—and I proudly manage their digital presence, from social media to website updates. In our family, retirement isn’t an ending—it’s a new beginning.
I’m also the sister of Dario Calmese, cultural curator and founder of The Institute of Black Imagination (IBI). When he made history in 2020 as the first Black photographer to shoot the cover of Vanity Fair, I was behind the scenes—supporting his vision, producing IBI’s podcast, and helping carry the weight of a movement. Because legacy isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s logistical.
With over 15 years of experience across finance, operations, HR, admin, and creative production, I built Virtual KT as a sanctuary for changemakers. I don’t just tackle to-do lists—I bring peace to progress and structure to ambition.
When I’m not building blueprints or organizing empires, you’ll find me walking my dog Coco, mentoring my son Dante through his next milestone, or speaking life over the future I’ve worked hard to create.
Because I didn’t just survive—I turned every challenge into a chapter of legacy.
And now, I help others do the same.
